Thermal Chapala

Three temperatures along the north shore of the lake, a couple of hours from Guadalajara. Water park, spa and town baths, in that order heading east.

Road line from OpenStreetMap data.

The west of the Volcanic Belt is not only a volcano on the horizon. Under the Chapala shore the water comes up warm, and these three sites are the shortest way to show that to someone leaving Guadalajara: first the park, then the hotel spa at San Juan Cosalá, and finally Jamay, with no hotel, as a day-trip ending.

  • Jamay has no lodging of its own. Sleep in Villa Corona and San Juan Cosalá; Jamay is the last day's visit.
