The Wellness Circuit
Four thermal hotels, from Querétaro to Puebla, for anyone who wants a hot pool and a bed in the same place. No dirt roads.
Road line from OpenStreetMap data.
This route is not chasing the geyser. It follows the band where the heat is already domesticated: a town hot spring, a hotel spa, a 44 °C pool and, at the end, Chignahuapan, where the vent reaches 50 °C but the bath stays at 37. The order runs west to east so the road is not driven twice.
- El Oasis in Tequisquiapan has no hotel of its own. The first night is in town, not at the baths.
- Balneario Amajac surfaces at 46 °C and the pool sits at 44 °C. The jet is for looking; the bath is the other number.
- Hotel Termas de Chignahuapan surfaces at 50 °C and the pool sits at 38 °C. The jet is for looking; the bath is the other number.
