Los Azufres and Ixtlán
In the Michoacán highlands the heat is both a power plant and a day out. Los Azufres feeds a geothermal station and, minutes away, mud pools, fumaroles and the Ixtlán geyser. Vents here pass 60 °C: you watch them, and the bath is the pool beside them.
